Garden gadgets - watering lance

If your hosepipe is in regular use to keep your pots, greenhouse and hanging baskets well watered, consider adapting your kit to make it even easier to access those difficult-to-reach containers and plants.  A watering lance is a long-handled hose attachment which you can use instead of the traditional spray gun.  Because it has a much longer reach, it’s brilliant for watering hanging baskets and low containers without having to stretch too far, or straining your arms to lift up a heavy watering can.

They’re usually equipped with the usual thumb control or trigger, plus they still have the option of different spray settings including a jet, soaker or wide spray to cover larger areas or help with cleaning.

Some models are even equipped with a telescopic function to reach even higher and further!  For anyone with lots of hanging baskets, deep rows of pots or shelves packed with trays of seedlings, this is a garden gadget which can take some of the hard work out of watering.
