Gardening tip - heal your lawn

Gardening tip - heal your lawn

If you you’ve noticed any bald patches in your lawn, there’s still time to reseed them.  Rough up the area with a rake adding a bit of sharp sand for drainage if needs be and a layer of topsoil, scatter the appropriate seed mix evenly over the area.  Protect your newly sown grass seed from birds by covering the seed with a light sprinkling of topsoil and a bit of netting if required.  Finally, keep the area watered, only lightly, so as not to wash the seeds away, until it germinates when it can be watered with the rest of the lawn.
